Flat shoes (no cleats), shin guards (optional), athletic clothes, and a water bottle. 

We have a filtered water station for refills. 

We require an evaluation for all players ages 6+

Our evaluation assesses the skill level of a player and since our training groups are divided by skill rather than age or gender, we can more accurately place them in an appropriate training group.

You get your jersey at the end of your 2nd evaluation session.

Players can be re-evaluated every 3 months. If a player goes up by at least 2 pts from their previous evaluation score they will graduate to the next color training top. When a player reaches the blue jersey and above, they will need to be within the appropriate color grid on the graph.

Short answer, Maybe.  

The long answer….

Next Level has teams across many age groups and is always looking to form more.  If, after their evaluation, a player is a good fit for one of our teams, then the coach for that age group will definitely be in contact with you.  

With that being said, Next Level literally has some of the best youth soccer players and highest ranked youth teams in the entire country training inside our facility so every player who trains at Next Level will not necessarily be immediately placed on one of our teams.  If your child is not placed on one of our teams, we feel very confident that the best place for them to develop into a top level player is inside our facility.  

In the U.S., a lot of clubs form as many teams as possible to help their bottom line but quite frankly, playing on a teams can sometimes be counterproductive to the development a young player.  Under the wrong coach and on the wrong team, players are frequently encouraged or incentivized to use tactics and skills that will help them win their game this weekend even though those same tactics and skills do make them any better as a player.  At Next Level they will always be exposed to the highest level of competition which accelerates their development, helps them process decisions faster, and improves their technical and tactical ability.

We feel very confident with our ability to assess a child’s technical and physical level through our evaluation process.  We cannot, however, accurately assess their tactical knowledge, mentality, or social skills in a couple of training sessions.  For that reason we give your player an “estimated overall rating” as it is our best estimation of their overall rating.  

Ultimately the more we see your player, the more accurate their rating will be.  In order to get the most accurate rating on your player, we suggest you inquire about joining one of our Next Level academy teams as they are not only evaluated session to session basis but on a game to game basis against high level competition.
