THE CROWN SERIES

The Next Level Crown is a season-long competition that brings together players for small-sided games with a twist: individual point accumulation! Held at the East Valley Soccer Complex, this series is designed to reward versatility, teamwork, and consistent performance.


Players will show up to their assigned time based on skill level. Teams will be randomly assigned and then the kids are free to play fast-paced, uncoached, unreffed, 5v5 soccer. At the end of each match, they will report their winning game results to the Next Level tent, earning points toward their season total.


Over 10 Crown dates, both boys and girls will battle it out for the ultimate goal—being crowned as the top players in their groups. By the season's end, we will find out who will claim the Crown and the title of "Kings and Queens of the Court."


*Open to all players with an EOR of 20 or higher.

Frequently Asked Questions
    Where are the events located?

        All events in The Crown Series will be held at our East Valley Soccer Complex at :

        3215 S. Sossaman Rd, 

        Mesa, AZ 85212

    What happens if I miss a scheduled date?

        No worries.  Points are accumulated based on your 8 highest scoring weeks so we essentially throw out your lowest scoring week.

    How are teams split up?

        Every week Next Level will take all players in a specific OR range and use a computer to randomize the rosters for a given week.

    What do I need to bring to a Crown event?

        All players will wear a white top (any white top is fine).  Shin guards are required.  Turf shoes are recommended.  Lots of water!

    What is the play format and rules?

        There will be 7-8, 10 minute games in regulation.  Teams will be assigned randomly. 

        Games will start and end at the same time with the sound of an air horn. 


        Player-refereed games!  There will be Next Level staff monitoring the fields, however, players are expected to make their own calls and decisions.


        Rock, paper, scissors for who starts with the ball - best of 1.  

        NO TIES! After 10 minutes if there is a draw it will go to immediate penalties.


        PENALTY FORMAT: The attacking player will start at the half and will take on the defending keeper to try to score. Teams will go at the SAME time (in different directions).


        SPECTATOR RULES:

        FINAL RULES WILL BE EMAILED WITH TIME SLOTS


    Are there bathrooms on site?

        Yes.  There are bathrooms inside of the Paloma church.  


        *NO HARD CLEATS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE THE CHURCH BUILDING

    What time will I play?

        The time you play will be decided by your birth year and skill level.  The time will also vary by date as we try to rotate age groups into early and late time slots.


        For example: A player born in 2016 may play from 8-10a on one date and 2p-4p on another.


        You can view your proposed time slot for each play date by clicking on the desired play date above and choosing your age group but please note that we reserve the right to change the session times slightly based on demand.
